Night attack on Kyiv: people are being searched under the rubble, communications are damaged

On the night of November 14, Kyiv was subjected to massive shelling by drones and missiles, which killed three people, injured 26 residents, damaged heating networks, houses, and partially damaged public transport.

The mayor of the capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, reported on the situation on Telegram, noting that rescuers are still unable to retrieve the bodies of the deceased and are providing assistance to the injured.

Another 26 residents were injured, including two children aged 7 and 10. Nine of the injured were hospitalized, including a pregnant woman, while the rest received medical care on the spot or as outpatients.

In Desnyanskyi district, sections of heating networks were damaged , causing some buildings to be temporarily left without heating. Kyiv municipal services are working quickly on the ground, determining the nature of the damage and eliminating the consequences.

Many houses were damaged, cars and non-residential buildings were on fire. Klitschko had previously warned of possible power and water outages as a result of the attack.

Due to the consequences of the shelling , public transport has been partially blocked . Delays have been recorded in the operation of a number of buses, trams and trolleybuses:

Buses: No. 33, 63, 81

Tram: No. 15 (already restored on the route)

Trolleybuses: No. 6, 16, 18, 19, 33, 35, 37, 37-A

Due to traffic congestion on the section from Hlybochytska Street to Solyana Street, buses are running on shortened routes:

No. 14-T — to Lukyanivska Square

No. 112 — to the metro station “Kontraktova Ploshcha”

No. 119 — to the Povitroflotsky overpass

Medics and emergency services are working at all locations. They provide assistance to victims, eliminate fires and accidents on utility networks.

Vitaliy Klitschko urged residents to remain cautious, follow safety rules, and follow official messages from city authorities and services.

As a reminder, on the night of November 14, Kyiv experienced a large-scale combined attack by drones and missiles. The shelling killed one person, injured more than two dozen others, and caused numerous fires and significant destruction in various areas of the capital.
