US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said that the administration of current US President Donald Trump has confirmed its support for the supply of air defense systems to Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bruce emphasized that the United States remains Ukraine’s greatest ally and resolutely supports it in confronting Russian aggression.<\/p>\n

“We want Ukraine to have all the necessary air defense capabilities. We want it to be able to protect its skies from missile attacks by Russia,” Bruce said.<\/p>\n

According to her, negotiations are currently underway between the US and European partners on the transfer of modern air defense systems to Ukraine. The spokeswoman clarified that the State Department itself is not a direct participant in the supply process, since it concerns purchases, transfer of ammunition and other technical and logistical aspects, which are coordinated through defense structures.<\/p>\n

She also assured that US support for Ukraine will remain stable and unwavering, despite the change in political tone in the American leadership.<\/p>\n

“Our main goal is to end this war. We are focused on this and will continue to help Ukraine,” Bruce emphasized.<\/p>\n

By the way, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that the new United States defense budget for 2026 provides for a reduction in funding for military support for Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n
