Petro Poroshenko, during the joint special program “Let’s Talk About Ukraine” of “Pryamoy” and “Channel 5”, said that now it is urgent to build new, modern fortifications 25 kilometers from the contact line.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service of “European Solidarity”<\/a> .<\/p>\n

“It should be 1,200-1,500 kilometers of a powerful shaft, echeloned, mined, entangled, with a radio jamming system, with a video surveillance system. Look at how the Russians built the Surovikin line, draw your own conclusions,” Poroshenko emphasized.<\/p>\n

He added that this situation can be explained by only one thing – corrupt officials are interested in ensuring that the territory where they allegedly built fortifications is captured by the enemy. Because this is the destruction of evidence of their corruption.<\/p>\n

“Of course, we demand that this issue be considered at a separate meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. We fought for a year to create a temporary investigative commission. They classified its meetings. Are you hiding this from the people so that they don’t interfere and prevent you from stealing?” Poroshenko claims.<\/p>\n

The fifth president noted that it’s not about money.<\/p>\n

“It’s about the fact that ultimately we need to stop losing people, stop losing territories, and stop losing time. You’ve lost two years,” Poroshenko says.<\/p>\n

He recalled that Prime Minister Shmyhal has repeatedly reported on the fortifications built.<\/p>\n

“Who will now bear responsibility for this lie?” Poroshenko asked.<\/p>\n

By the way, the fifth President of Ukraine and the leader of the “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko stated that the situation with the construction of fortifications is so acute that it requires a separate session of the Verkhovna Rada<\/a> . He also demands to open to the public the results of the work of the parliamentary TSK on fortifications and the purchase of drones. Poroshenko recalled that he offered local administrations to build fortifications at their own expense, but the authorities refused.<\/p>\n

Earlier, during a meeting of faction leaders with government officials and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Petro Poroshenko once again raised the issue of the unsatisfactory state of construction of fortifications.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, earlier, after a meeting of parliamentary faction leaders with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and relevant ministers, Petro Poroshenko<\/a> told journalists that government officials had finally publicly acknowledged the huge shortage of money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The day before, Poroshenko and Eurosolidarity deputies initiated a petition to transfer up to 30% of military personal income tax from community budgets directly to the brigades’ accounts<\/a> .<\/p>\n
