On Thursday, June 12, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Kyiv for a visit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pistorius arrived in the Ukrainian capital to discuss further military assistance to the country with Ukrainian government representatives.<\/p>\n

“We are doing everything possible to support Ukraine so that it can defend itself and find itself in a position where Russia is ready for serious negotiations,” the head of the defense department assured.<\/p>\n

Arriving in Kyiv, the German Defense Minister condemned the intensified Russian airstrikes on the country, which he described as “extremely brutal and threatening, with a large number of cruise missiles and drone attacks.”<\/p>\n

“This is a clear signal from Moscow: there is currently no interest in a peaceful solution, instead the strikes continue with unwavering brutality and, above all, increasingly targeted at civilian areas of Ukraine,” Pistorius said at the train station in Kyiv.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated at a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues in Ukraine that the first long-range weapons financed by Germany will enter service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a few weeks.<\/a><\/p>\n
