During a hearing of the US House Armed Services Committee on June 12, a scuffle broke out between California Democrat Salud Carbajal and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was reported that Carbajal questioned Hegseth about troop deployments in Los Angeles, the leak of information from the Signal chat, and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

During the heated exchange, the congressman told the Defense Secretary to “get out of the Pentagon.”<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are a disgrace to this country. Bipartisan members of Congress have called for your resignation. You should just leave and let someone competent run this department,\u201d the Democrat stated.<\/p>\n

The publication notes that Hegseth has previously faced tensions during Senate committee hearings, including issues related to delays in the Pentagon\u2019s budget proposal, the Trump administration\u2019s support for Ukraine, and the president\u2019s focus on Greenland.
