The plant annually produces up to a million tons of ammonia and more than a million tons of ammonium nitrate, which are key components for the manufacture of explosives &#8211; in particular, artillery shells, land mines and rocket charges, actively used by Russia in the war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p> In addition, Nevinnomyssky Azot produces melamine, methanol, acetic acid and potassium nitrate &#8211; dual-use substances widely used in military chemistry.
