On Saturday, June 14, the bodies of 1,200 fallen Ukrainian soldiers were returned to Ukraine as part of the latest stage of repatriation efforts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Coordination Headquarters reports<\/a> this.<\/p>\n

The return of the bodies was made possible through agreements reached in Istanbul. According to the Russian side, all the remains belong to Ukrainian citizens, including military personnel.<\/p>\n

In the coming days, law enforcement specialists, together with experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will conduct examinations and identification procedures.<\/p>\n

The headquarters extended special gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for its assistance, as well as to the personnel of the Central Directorate of Civil-Military Cooperation and the Joint Center for Support of Events of the Central Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who ensured the transportation of the bodies to specialized institutions and their transfer to forensic medical examination agencies.<\/p>\n

Let us recall that on June 11, Ukraine returned the bodies of 1,212 fallen defenders in various areas<\/a>, including Kursk.<\/p>\n
