A powerful overnight missile attack by Iran has left central Israel with significant damage and casualties. As of the morning of June 16, the death toll had risen to five, with more than 90 people injured.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to journalists, four people were killed in the city of Petah Tikva when a rocket hit a high-rise apartment building. Another man was killed in Bnei Brak, where a rocket strike destroyed part of a residential area.<\/p>\n

Rescue services report 92 injured, most with minor injuries. Search operations are ongoing at two of the four rocket sites. Rescuers are trying to reach three people trapped under rubble in Haifa.<\/p>\n

The attack was part of an escalation in the conflict between Iran and Israel that has been ongoing since June 13. Then the Israeli Air Force struck Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure as part of Operation Lion Nation. Dozens of Iranian senior officials and nuclear program specialists were among those killed.<\/p>\n

Since then, Israel and Iran have exchanged daily missile and drone strikes, attacking each other’s vital targets. Experts warn that the war is gaining scale not seen since the beginning of the Middle East conflict.<\/p>\n

By the way, Iran officially confirmed the death of the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) missile program<\/a> and seven other high-ranking officers as a result of an Israeli strike.<\/p>\n

Recall that on the night of Friday, June 13, the Israeli army launched a large-scale operation against Iran and massively attacked nuclear and military facilities.<\/a><\/p>\n

Earlier it became known that Iran refused to participate in negotiations with the United States regarding its nuclear program, scheduled for June 15<\/a> .<\/p>\n
