Russia will demand that Ukraine destroy all Western weapons it received during the war to end the war.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> in The Moscow Times, citing a statement by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko.<\/p>\n

He stated that the Western weapons available in Ukraine pose a threat not only to Russia, but also to the West itself.<\/p>\n

“All these surpluses must be destroyed. All international algorithms are known. Armaments must be reduced, disposed of, and guaranteed,” Hrushko noted.<\/p>\n

In his statement, he mentioned the Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems transferred by the United States to the Mujahideen in Afghanistan, which were later “put under control.”<\/p>\n

He also pointed out the recklessness of Western politicians who, “taking into account this experience,” recklessly distribute weapons.<\/p>\n

“Black markets are literally swelling with weapons, which, as a result of the implementation of corruption schemes, flow in a stream to different parts of the globe, including Europe,” said Hrushko.<\/p>\n

Earlier, on May 30, during a meeting of the United Nations Security Council , Russia called the cessation of mobilization in Ukraine and the halting of Western weapons supplies as conditions for a ceasefire<\/a> .<\/p>\n
