During the last repatriation of the fallen soldiers, the Russian side transferred the bodies of its soldiers to Ukraine, mixed with the bodies of Ukrainian defenders.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was announced by<\/span><\/a> the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis could have been done intentionally by the Russians to increase the number of bodies transferred and to overload our experts, complementing all this with cynical information pressure. Or it could be their usual careless attitude towards their own people. In any case, we are also identifying these bodies,\u201d the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to him, Russia deliberately complicated the identification process by handing over mutilated bodies, body parts in different bags. Moreover, there were cases when the remains of the same person were returned during different stages of the exchange.<\/span><\/p>\n

Klymenko emphasized that Ukrainian experts carefully conduct each examination, doing them several times for the accuracy of the result.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe understand the pain and expectations of the families. We are accelerating the identification process as much as possible. But with each large repatriation, it becomes more difficult to do this, and perhaps this is precisely Russia\u2019s goal. We have no right to make mistakes. For us, these are not statistics. These are people, and each of them deserves to be treated with dignity,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, on June 16, another 1,245 bodies of the dead were returned to Ukraine<\/a> . The repatriation part of the Istanbul agreements with Russia has been completed.<\/p>\n
