His warped logic fuels terrorist attacks on Ukrainian soil, serving his broader strategic goals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This opinion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/P6SqvyQmVnI\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was expressed<\/a> on the air of &#8220;Pryamy\u0456&#8221; by military expert Mykhailo Prytula.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is one military theater. There is a northern front \u2014 Ukraine, and a southern front \u2014 Israel. It is worth remembering that Moscow has always feared these two peoples \u2014 Ukrainians and Jews. Russia has lost control over Iran, which could lead to the unblocking of Iranian gas supplies to Europe \u2014 a scenario Moscow is extremely keen to prevent.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"271\" data-end=\"648\">\u201cIran was one of Russia\u2019s most important allies, allowing Moscow to hope for significant gas revenues. If Iran reverts to being a normal secular country without ambitions to destroy anyone, a large volume of gas from its massive fields will flow to Europe. These are some of the largest gas fields in the world. This factor is crucial for Russia,\u201d the military expert explains.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"839\">At the same time, he believes the Kremlin chose to appease Vladimir Putin and demonstrate the so-called \u201cpower\u201d of the Russian army by carrying out terrorist attacks on Ukrainian territory.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"841\" data-end=\"1377\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\u201cNow that Putin is losing influence, he is starting to lose his grip on reality. His commanders feel the need to show him results, to demonstrate their destructive capabilities. The logic is moronic, but unfortunately, this is the logic of the Russians. They seek to ingratiate themselves with the supreme leader by striking civilian populations. Of course, these attacks are showcased directly to Putin in a one-man theater, showing missiles hitting a residential building in Kyiv. They will escalate strikes precisely against targets they can reach \u2014 the civilian population. This can be compared to Tehran\u2019s tactics, which also target public squares in Israel rather than military facilities, aiming solely to terrorize the population. The logic is identical, and they have no other option but to act this way,\u201d the military expert emphasized.<br \/>\nWe remind on the night of June 17 (from 8:00 PM on June 16), the enemy launched an attack <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/masovanyy-udar-po-ukraini-syly-ppo-zneshkodyly-428-povitrianykh-tsiley\/\">with 472 air attack vehicles<\/a>. Air defense forces neutralized 428 targets: 262 were shot down, and 166 missed their intended locations. <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/rosiiany-masovano-atakuvaly-kyiv-bahato-zhertv-ta-poranenykh-pid-zavalamy-shukaiut-liudey\/\">The\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/rosiiany-masovano-atakuvaly-kyiv-bahato-zhertv-ta-poranenykh-pid-zavalamy-shukaiut-liudey\/\">primary target of the enemy\u2019s attack was Kyiv.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 The attack resulted in 14 fatalities and over 50 injuries. Furthermore, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/armiia-rf-vdaryla-po-odesi-ie-poraneni-sered-nykh-dity\/\">the Russians struck Odessa with drones.<\/a> As a result of the shelling, there are casualties, including injured children.<\/p>\n<p>Later, Mayor Vitaly Klitschko confirmed that Russian forces used <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/rosiia-vykorystala-kasetni-rakety-dlia-obstrilu-kyieva-miskyy-holova-pokazav-ikh-na-video\/\">cluster bombs to strike Kyiv on June 17 to kill as many people as possible<\/a>. This is not the first time cluster munitions have been used.
