Then this option was used by the Wagner PMC militants, and now this option is constantly used by the Russian army. Assault or &#8220;meat&#8221; attacks are making their mark. The enemy is using armored vehicles, including tanks, less and less on the battlefield, because they are not so flexible, not so fast, not so maneuverable to effectively counter our drones or our artillery systems. At the same time, the situation with the fortifications in the Sumy region is making itself felt.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;It advances where there are no engineering and technical structures, fortifications. But starting from a distance of 6-8-10 km from the state border line, the same extensive network of engineering structures begins, with the help of which we managed to stop the enemy offensive. After all, the pace of the Russian advance has significantly decreased in the last few days. They are literally stuck in our fortifications, our anti-personnel and minefields and are unable to advance at the same pace as before,&#8221; the military journalist explains.<\/p>\n<p> According to him, the situation in Sumy Oblast is somewhat reminiscent of the large-scale offensive of Russian troops in May 2024 in the north of Kharkiv Oblast. Then the Russians were pushed back from the regional center, and now the fighting is taking place in the border areas.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;It&#8217;s probably not worth talking about some kind of scaling of territorial gains for the enemy. More than a year has passed. &#8220;The enemy is stuck in our defensive fortifications and has no way to move forward. Because there is no critical number of personnel that would significantly outweigh our resources. According to the OVA, people are mainly being evacuated from two districts &#8211; Sumy and Shostka.<\/p>\n<p> Previously, the head of the regional administration, Oleh Hrygorov, stated that the situation in Sumy region remains tense, but is under the control of the Defense Forces, so <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/1238973\/\">there are no reasons for evacuation from the regional center yet<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p> As is known, Russian occupation troops are advancing in the Sumy region, in particular <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/voroh-zakripyvsia-za-20-kilometriv-vid-sum-shcho-dozvolyt-atakuvaty-misto-fpv-dronamy-deepstate\/\">, the enemy has reached a distance that allows him to strike the regional center with FPV drones<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p> In addition, the spokesman for the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko stated that a new stage of the Russian ground offensive is underway in northern Ukraine.
