US President Donald Trump said that during a recent conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he advised him to “take care of his own country first” before claiming the role of mediator in other conflicts, in particular in the Middle East.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said this while talking<\/a> to journalists.<\/p>\n

“I spoke to him yesterday. He offered to help as a mediator. I told him: do me a favor – be your mediator. Let’s deal with Russia first, okay?” Trump said.<\/p>\n

The American president emphasized that it was Russia that unleashed the war in Ukraine, and it is its leadership that should end this aggression before tackling other international crises.<\/p>\n

“I said: Vladimir, let’s deal with Russia first. And you can deal with that later. But I think everything will be fine there too. Although a lot of people died. The main thing is much more than officially reported. Here is a building falling – and they say no one was hurt, you know?” Trump added.<\/p>\n

Let us recall that this is not the first time that Trump has been critical of Putin’s actions, although he is also known for his ambiguous rhetoric regarding the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

By the way, the American Institute for the Study of War reported that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is actively trying to shift the focus of the international community from Russia’s aggression against Ukraine to events in the Middle East<\/a> .<\/p>\n
