Ukraine is getting closer to receiving the latest air defense systems capable of destroying even complex types of threats, such as guided bombs. A stage of large-scale tests conducted with the participation of NATO, France and the Ukrainian side has been completed at a training ground in France.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the NATO press service<\/a> .<\/p>\n

It is noted that the tests tested the concept of multi-level defense capable of destroying various types of air targets – from Shahed kamikaze drones to glide bombs. According to representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, it is these threats that cause the most damage on the front today.<\/p>\n

The tests are based on new solutions from three leading startups: Alta Ares, ATREYD and TYTAN<\/strong> . Their technologies were combined into a single system for detecting, tracking and destroying air targets. The development itself took place in an accelerated format due to critical needs on the battlefield.<\/p>\n

The tests lasted several days at the French Directorate General of Armaments’ test site. There, the systems were tested on real and simulated targets to verify the sensors, control algorithms, and combat modules. Despite the challenging conditions, all key components demonstrated effectiveness.<\/p>\n

The test participants are already preparing an updated series of tests<\/strong> , which should take place in the near future. According to the optimistic forecast of the Ukrainian delegation, the first samples could be deployed by the end of 2025<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

“This project is the result of cooperation between NATO Allied Command Transformation, the French Defense Agency (DGA), NATO think tanks, and Ukrainian specialists from the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the report concluded.<\/p>\n

Previously, representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance would keep secret the details of military aid packages that member countries of the organization transfer to Ukraine<\/a> . The lack of such information will make it more difficult for the Russian military to plan its own operations in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
