Ukraine is aware of Russia’s preparation of new attacks on the country’s energy sector, including on nuclear energy infrastructure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to international organizations in Vienna, Yuriy Vitrenko, during the regular meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council on Thursday, June 19.<\/p>\n

“We know that Russia is planning attacks on Ukraine’s energy sector. The nuclear energy infrastructure is also under threat. This information has been duly brought to the attention of the IAEA,” he said.<\/p>\n

The head of the Ukrainian mission to the OSCE emphasized that despite international efforts, Russia has intensified attacks on Ukrainian cities.<\/p>\n

Vitrenko noted that in recent days, Russia has carried out some of the bloodiest attacks. These include the killing of children on a playground in Kryvyi Rih, rocket terror against civilians in Sumy on Palm Sunday, continuous attacks on Kharkiv, safaris on people in Kherson, and recent drone attacks on peaceful cities across Ukraine.<\/p>\n

He added that Russia is deliberately waging a campaign of terror against the civilian population.<\/p>\n

“The fact that despite huge losses, Russia has not achieved any strategic goal of its invasion clearly demonstrates the limits of its military machine. Therefore, it is necessary to increase pressure on Russia and increase the price of its aggression in order to stop this senseless bloodshed and destroy the alliance of chaos consisting of Russia, Iran and North Korea,” Vitrenko said.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the Russians were the first to use a \u201cShahed\u201d kamikaze drone with a built-in camera, an AI module with machine vision, and a direct radio control system<\/a> from Russian territory.<\/p>\n

As reported, the Russian military is actively modernizing drones and missiles for combined strikes on the territory of Ukraine, using simulators in particular, and is also strengthening countermeasures against electronic warfare<\/a> . However, the Ukrainian air defense forces are not lagging behind and are successfully developing relevant technologies.<\/p>\n
