Hacker groups affiliated with the PRC have repeatedly hacked Russian institutions to search for Russian military secrets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> in The New York Times, citing cyber analysts.<\/p>\n

Despite public “friendship,” China is using Russia’s war against Ukraine for espionage. It is collecting data on modern combat tactics, weapons, and front-line experience to prepare for potential conflicts.<\/p>\n

The NYT notes that Chinese troops lack combat experience. Experts say that China sees the war in Ukraine as a chance to gain information about modern warfare.<\/p>\n

A classified document from the Russian FSB obtained by the NYT shows that Russian intelligence is concerned about China’s goal of acquiring Russian defense expertise and technology. The document also mentions China’s intention to learn from Russia’s military experience in Ukraine. Russian intelligence calls China an “enemy.”<\/p>\n

The scale of China’s hacking activities against Russia indicates both a higher level of mutual distrust and the Kremlin’s reluctance to share everything it learns on the battlefield in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

According to Palo Alto Networks, one Chinese government-funded group targeted Rostec, the Russian state-owned defense conglomerate, seeking information on satellite communications, radars, and electronic warfare.<\/p>\n

Other hackers used malicious files designed to exploit vulnerabilities in Microsoft Word to infiltrate Russian aviation industry facilities and government agencies.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that China has practically blocked the sale of Mavic drones to Kyiv, instead supplying them to Russia<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Earlier, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Oleg Ivashchenko, stated that China supplies special chemicals, gunpowder, and machine tools to 20 Russian military-oriented factories<\/a> .<\/p>\n
