The fifth president of Ukraine and leader of the “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko, during a Supreme Court hearing where he is challenging illegal sanctions, stated that members of the National Security and Defense Council voted for sanctions without any documents, which is why this is a crime.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service of Eurosolidarity.<\/a><\/p>\n

“In a flash, on February 12, within three hours, the proposal to impose sanctions against me goes through the Financial Monitoring Service, the Ministry of Economy, the Cabinet of Ministers, the President’s Office, the NSDC apparatus, the decision is made, the return is made, and the decree is issued. The primary source is the submission to the Financial Monitoring Service,” the fifth President noted.<\/p>\n

He noted that the request to provide the document to the State Financial Monitoring Service was denied.<\/p>\n

“We receive an absolutely rude answer that the State Financial Monitoring Service has not yet decided whether it will give permission to transfer these documents to the Supreme Court or not. They are still thinking. For five months I have not been able to get a document certifying what came to the mind of this Pronin (head of the State Financial Monitoring Service – ed.), who has personal reasons to hate me. Because I raised the issue in his capacity as head of the Poltava Military-Civil Administration about the failure of the construction of fortifications in the Pokrovsky direction. And he will be responsible for this,” Poroshenko noted.<\/p>\n

The leader of Eurosolidarity added that the documents were received by the NSDC secretariat on February 13, and the decision was made on February 12, without documents.<\/p>\n

“Decisions of this magnitude cannot be made without a case, without a submission, without documents. I have a well-founded suspicion: the members of the NSDC were misled or are accomplices in a crime when they voted for sanctions without documents,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n

Poroshenko stated that he has reasonable suspicions that initially a version, a document, sanctions that have nothing to do with him were voted on. And then, when Zelensky went to Khmelnytskyi and then abroad, the document was rewritten without Zelensky.<\/p>\n

The Fifth President also noted that the Supreme Court sessions are ignored by representatives of the NSDC and the Ministry of Economy.<\/p>\n

“I would ask the court to determine responsibility and ensure that the court’s decision (on providing all documents for the imposition of sanctions – ed.) is implemented. Of course, putting up with such an attitude towards the rule of law, towards the priority of the judicial branch of power in this trial is categorically and absolutely unacceptable. They all understand what needs to be given, and either carry out criminal instructions, or are themselves accomplices in the crime,” Poroshenko emphasized.<\/p>\n
