The current government is trying to level the playing field before the elections in Ukraine by imposing “preventive sanctions” against the fifth president, Petro Poroshenko. At the same time, Bankova is using mechanisms that the Putin regime uses against opponents, such as the status of “foreign agents.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

This opinion was expressed<\/a> on the air of “Pryamoy” by Ihor Reiterovych, head of political and legal programs of the NGO “Ukrainian Center for Social Development”.<\/p>\n

“This is one component of preparing for the elections. When you don’t know the real level of support, for example, for the incumbent president… and we don’t know it, because the level of trust is not the level of support in the elections. When you understand that after the war, again, the end of the war, society simply has a long list of issues, what do you need to do? The ideal option is to simply burn out the competitive field and gain your 20% and win simply because you have no competitors,” Reuterovich noted.<\/p>\n
