The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police detained an FSB agent, a 33-year-old mobilized man who committed arson and, on the orders of the enemy, was engaged in arson and preparing a murder in Kyiv.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Counterintelligence of the Security Service and the National Police detained an FSB agent who, on the orders of the enemy, was supposed to carry out a contract killing in the capital of Ukraine,” the post says.<\/p>\n

According to information from the Ukrainian special services, in order to commit the crime, the suspect received the coordinates of a cache from the curator, from which he took a Makarov pistol and 50 rounds of ammunition.<\/p>\n

“The enemy agent turned out to be a 33-year-old mobilized man who voluntarily left the military unit and began working for the occupiers. The deserter came to the attention of the Russian special services while already in the North-West Frontier, when he began looking for “easy money” in Telegram channels,” the department emphasizes.<\/p>\n

The SBU notes that after recruitment, the agent arrived in Kyiv, where, as a “test task”, he first set fire to several vehicles of the Defense Forces.<\/p>\n

“The killer was supposed to receive the identity of the potential victim for murder from the curator in the near future, after completing another task from the enemy – conducting reconnaissance of one of the military units in Kyiv,” the report states.<\/p>\n

On instructions from a Russian intelligence officer, the suspect rented an apartment near a military building. He then worked as a courier for a delivery service to covertly monitor the perimeter of the defense facility.<\/p>\n

Security Service officers acted proactively and detained the agent “hot on the trail” after setting the car on fire. A pistol equipped for an assassination attempt and a phone with which he contacted the FSB were seized at the suspect’s temporary residence.<\/p>\n

Currently, SBU investigators have informed the agent of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period). The issue of additional qualification of his crimes under Part 2 of Article 111 (high treason committed under martial law) is being resolved.<\/p>\n

The perpetrator is being held without bail.<\/p>\n

Comprehensive measures were carried out by SBU officers in Kyiv and Kyiv region together with the National Police under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a \u201cmole\u201d recruited by the Russian military intelligence (GRU). The 33-year-old serviceman was preparing an enemy attack on Ukrainian anti-ship complexes \u201cNeptune\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, within the ranks of the Defense Forces, the Security Service exposed a serviceman who was working for Russian special services and sharing information about fellow soldiers with the enemy.<\/a><\/p>\n
