The Minister of Unity is still on a working trip to European countries, which will last until the end of the week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by<\/a> Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.<\/p>\n

According to Shmyhal, Minister Chernyshov is legally behind bars until Monday, June 23.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of National Unity, headed by Chernyshov, previously reported that his business trip was a regular one, and such business trips are a normal part of the job.<\/p>\n

On June 11, he began a working trip to the Czech Republic. Later in Vienna, he met with the Director General of the Federal Agency for Refugees and representatives of the Austrian initiative Train of Hope.<\/p>\n

On June 18, Chernyshov held a working meeting with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset.<\/p>\n

On June 19, Chernyshov held a number of meetings with representatives of the Council of Europe as part of a working visit to EU countries.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that law enforcement officers reported<\/a> suspicions of persons involved in a corruption scheme in the construction sector involving top state officials with losses of over UAH 1 billion.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers from NABU and SAPO reported suspicion of abuse of office and receiving undue benefit to the former State Secretary of the Ministry of Regional Development, the Minister’s advisor, the director of a state-owned enterprise, the developer and his proxy.<\/p>\n

The media reported that the defendants in the case were directly connected to Minister Chernyshov. The media noted that Chernyshov was involved in a corruption scheme.<\/p>\n
