Russia continues to reject Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposals for a ceasefire, stepping up air strikes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cNow we have a strategic advantage. Why should we lose it? We will not lose it. We are moving forward. We are moving forward and will continue to move forward,\u201d said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, the Russian side demanded the cessation of the supply of foreign aid to Ukraine as a prerequisite for a ceasefire.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA ceasefire is a ceasefire, and you stop. But America doesn\u2019t say \u2018we will stop any supplies.\u2019 The UK doesn\u2019t say that either. France doesn\u2019t say that either. That\u2019s the problem,\u201d Peskov added.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga stated that 100 days have passed since Russia rejected the US proposal to implement a ceasefire<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Earlier, on May 30, during a meeting of the United Nations Security Council, Russia named the conditions for a ceasefire<\/a> –<\/span> a cessation of mobilization in Ukraine and a halt to supplies of Western weapons.<\/p>\n

By the way, Russia demands that Ukraine destroy all Western weapons<\/a> it received during the war.<\/p>\n
