On Thursday, June 19, in Zvenyhorodka, Cherkasy Oblast, a serviceman of the territorial recruitment center hit a cyclist with his car.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported<\/span><\/a> on June 21 by the Cherkasy Regional CCC.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result of the incident, a 54-year-old woman received injuries. Doctors hospitalized her to a medical facility.<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead, the driver fled the scene. However, law enforcement officers established his identity and whereabouts. The man was detained and charged with leaving a person in danger and violating traffic safety rules while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxication or under the influence of medications.<\/span><\/p>\n

The military man faces imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of five to eight years. The judge is deciding on the choice of a preventive measure.<\/span><\/p>\n

The pre-trial investigation is currently ongoing.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAn official investigation is being conducted into this fact. The Cherkasy OTCK and SP provide the necessary information to the National Police bodies in order to ensure the inevitability of punishment for the serviceman,\u201d the territorial recruitment center summarized.<\/span><\/p>\n
