Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth said that the United States’ strikes succeeded in destroying Iran’s nuclear program.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said<\/span><\/a> this<\/span> during a press conference.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to an American official, by attacking three Iranian sites, the US \u201cerased Tehran\u2019s nuclear ambitions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Hegset stressed that US President Donald Trump wants peace, and Iran “should understand that.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He assured that the operation was not directed against the Iranian people or the military, it was a targeted strike on nuclear infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAmerican deterrence is back,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, Hegset warned Iran against any retaliatory attacks, as the US would then strike much more forcefully.<\/span><\/p>\n
