Meanwhile, nominations from the United States and Ukraine have also been publicly announced, fueling widespread discussion.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"159\">There seems to be a serious dilemma over what exactly Donald Trump should be awarded for, given the numerous merits already proposed\u2014it\u2019s easy to get confused.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"161\" data-end=\"314\">When Neville Chamberlain was once nominated for the prize, there was a clear and specific reason, supported by many advocates of appeasing the aggressor.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"316\" data-end=\"604\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">However, another notorious nominee was also put forward\u2014Adolf Hitler\u2014as a form of protest. Although Erich Brandt later withdrew this nomination, awarding the prize for Chamberlain\u2019s signing of the Munich Agreement with Hitler would have been an unparalleled act of cynicism and sacrilege.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"316\" data-end=\"604\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\n\t\t<aside class=\"shortcode-also\" data-title=\"Read also\" >\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/trump-will-not-receive-the-nobel-prize-the-world-reacted-to-the-us-strikes-on-irans-nuclear-facilities\/\">\u201cTrump will not receive the Nobel Prize\u201d: the world reacted to the US strikes on Iran&#8217;s nuclear facilities<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"316\" data-end=\"604\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"137\">Among the nominees were both Stalin and Mussolini. So it would not be surprising if someone also nominated Russia\u2019s leading war criminal.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"139\" data-end=\"351\">The number of nominees this year has grown in step with the escalating global conflicts, which are rapidly intensifying\u2014culminating in large-scale wars that are unfolding into regional ones right before our eyes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"353\" data-end=\"677\">Therefore, it would be strange if the prize were awarded at all in this catastrophic year of 2025. Declining to grant this semblance of an \u201coutstanding contribution to peace\u201d would be the right decision. For this reason, the Nobel Peace Prize was not awarded during the First and Second World Wars (1914\u20131916 and 1939\u20131944).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"679\" data-end=\"753\">The Nobel Committee should make the same decision this year on October 10.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"755\" data-end=\"935\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">There must be only one stance: no \u201cpeace prizes\u201d in a year when the world stands on the brink of World War III, and cognitive and cyber warfare have already reached a global scale!<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"316\" data-end=\"604\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\n\t\t<aside class=\"shortcode-also\" data-title=\"Read also\" data-right>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/what-israel-and-ukraine-are-fighting-for-analogies-and-common-risks\/\">What Unites Israel and Ukraine: Shared Struggles and Existential Threats<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\n<p><em>As a reminder, the Pakistani government has officially nominated US President Donald <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/pakystan-vysunuv-trampa-na-nobelivsku-premiiu-myru-toy-vvazhaie-shcho-hidnyy-chotyrokh-takykh-nahorod\/\">Trump as a candidate for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize<\/a> in recognition of his &#8220;key leadership&#8221; during the India-Pakistan conflict.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Trump himself has said that he deserves at least four Nobel Peace Prizes. In the post, he wrote that he would not receive the award for his efforts to resolve conflicts between Rwanda and Congo, India and Pakistan, Serbia and Kosovo, Egypt and Ethiopia, and for signing the Abraham Accords in the Middle East.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As you know, on June 22, the <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/ssha-vstupyly-u-viynu-proty-iranu-skynuvshy-bomby-na-iaderni-ob-iekty\/\">US Air Force attacked Iran&#8217;s nuclear infrastructure<\/a>, including the most protected facility in Fordow. At the same time, the Donald Trump administration is preparing for <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/u-nayblyzhchi-48-hodyn-ssha-hotuiutsia-do-mozhlyvoho-udaru-iranu-u-vidpovid\/\">a potential response from Iran<\/a> in the next 48 hours.
