Portnov received from the current government the levers of control over investigators, law enforcement and judicial bodies, and his system is still working. This was stated by Petro Poroshenko on the air of the program “Politclub” with Vitaliy Portnikov on the TV channel “Espresso”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Poroshenko recalled that after the Revolution of Dignity, Portnov fled the country.<\/p>\n

“He hid abroad for 5 years, developing plans for revenge against me. He is an absolutely inadequate person. Portnov’s status over the past 6 years is that of a legal adviser to the current president’s team. He was given the levers of control over investigators, law enforcement and judicial bodies. There is plenty of evidence on this issue. Starting in 2019, the head of the State Bureau of Investigation Truba directly carried out all instructions and reported on how he summoned Poroshenko for questioning, what to present and how to comment on it,” Poroshenko noted.<\/p>\n

“Portnov directly organized all the trials, and only a small part of Portnov’s octopus of judges has been opened. I am convinced that these investigations will continue. Judges who have demonstrated dependence on Portnov must be immediately removed from administering justice,\u201d Poroshenko said.<\/p>\n

“Portnov was and remains a criminal. Portnov’s influence is decisive. And today Portnov’s flag on Bankova, in the government and in the team of 5-6 managers, has been effectively intercepted. Therefore, this hydra, this octopus, aimed at destroying democracy in Ukraine, requires the combined efforts of society, the civil environment, politicians and the people,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n

Poroshenko noted that as president he carried out judicial reform, for which amendments were made to the Constitution of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

“We managed to change the Constitution to reboot the Supreme Court. Conduct high-quality competitions. Form the Supreme Court. If we did not have the Supreme Court and the entire judicial system remained Portnovsko-Pecherskaya, then our situation would be radically different now,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I am proud that we managed to create the High Anti-Corruption Court in the process of judicial reform. I believe that there are two institutions in the country that are at least somewhat functioning – the Supreme Court and the High Anti-Corruption Court,” Poroshenko said.<\/p>\n
