The creation of a new government of national salvation and the transfer of the economy to military rails is what is now needed to overcome the situation threatening the country’s existence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Petro Poroshenko said this on the air of the program “Politclub” with Vitaly Portnikov on the “Espresso” TV channel.<\/p>\n

“The creation of a new government of national salvation. This is no longer a unity government, this is already a government of salvation. We must learn to trust the entire parliament, except for the OPZH. President Zelensky must restore or build a dialogue with the parliament, at least in conditions of critical threat. I really hope that he understands the level of this threat. I hope that the “warm bath” has not formed a distorted mechanism of realities in him,” Poroshenko emphasized.<\/p>\n

“Today, the threat to the existence of the country is becoming increasingly acute. And this is not only about the situation on the front, but also the possible creation of chaos within the country. A government of national unity is also an effective means of counteracting this. Only for this we need political will and responsibility,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n

“We have to put the economy on military rails,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n

“This means that not a single penny of untargeted spending on the construction of infrastructure facilities, on investments in nuclear reactors, on positions for investment parks with tax exemption, cashback positions, e-Settlement positions, and other spending of state budget funds while underfunding the Armed Forces is a crime,” Poroshenko said.<\/p>\n

He noted that in Russia this issue was resolved within a year. “Russia has directed all available resources to the defense-industrial complex. We have not. I want to emphasize, and I am convinced, that if the economy is not resolutely transferred to military tracks, the army will be left without money,” Poroshenko emphasized.<\/p>\n

He noted that the enemy has now switched to a strategy of war of attrition.<\/p>\n

“We need to face the truth. We need to communicate with the country not in the language of Arestovych, Podoliak, or the “single marathon”. We have an adult society and we need to prepare it for those things that require the consolidation of society. If you tell society that we have to do echeloned defense, transfer the economy to military rails, launch the defense industry and all that – it will be an honest conversation,” Poroshenko emphasized.<\/p>\n

“I do not believe that the Russians will now be able to organize some kind of breakthrough that would allow them to reach Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi or Khmelnytsky. They are creating operational threats. In Sumy, today, FPV drones on fiber optics have the ability to attack urban objects. Drones are already flying 20 kilometers. There are a little more than a hundred kilometers left to the Dnieper. And this is already an operational position – to use not only ballistic ammunition in the multiple launch system. This is a radically different stage of the war and radically different challenges,” he said.<\/p>\n

“If we don’t put the economy on military rails, there will be trouble. We must have more technology, we must have more operators, we must have more modern, effective products, the defense industry of Ukraine, or joint production with our partners. There is money for this. I am constantly in contact with representatives of the countries that have joined the Danish-Dutch initiative. And they are already financing individual enterprises,” Poroshenko noted.<\/p>\n
