At the NATO summit, which will take place on June 25, the topic of support for Ukraine will be one of the “big” topics.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte before the start of the second day of the summit in The Hague.<\/p>\n

He noted that on June 25, they will discuss increasing defense spending and building the capabilities of the defense industry. The topic of support for Ukraine will also be on the agenda.<\/p>\n

“Ukraine will be a big topic today. We will discuss how to ensure that Ukraine can continue to count on support from NATO countries in the coming years to continue the fight, but also to make sure that we can lead Ukraine to a sustainable and lasting peace,” said Mark Rutte.<\/p>\n

He noted that the summit in The Hague is “transformative” as the participating countries face new challenges, including Russia’s war against Ukraine, which is supported by North Korea, Iran and China. China’s military buildup is also a challenge that will be addressed.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Allies must ensure that they can provide sufficient industrial capacity to produce the necessary quantities of ammunition and all other types of military equipment that they need to reliably protect their territory and population.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, a two-day NATO summit kicked off in The Hague on Tuesday, June 24. The main topics of this year’s meeting will be strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defense system, increasing defense investments, deepening cooperation with the European Union, and continuing support for Ukraine in the war and reconstruction process.<\/a><\/p>\n

It is worth noting that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in The Hague to participate in the two-day NATO summit<\/a> . <\/p>\n
