United States President Donald Trump has confirmed that he will meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky at the NATO summit taking place in The Hague.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The American leader made<\/a> the corresponding statement, The Telegraph reports.<\/p>\n

“We’ll discuss his difficulties, some difficulties. Zelensky is a good guy. I mean, I’ll meet with him today. I don’t know. I think we’ll discuss Ukraine. Yeah. That seems like the most likely thing,” the publication quotes Trump as saying.<\/p>\n

The US president also said that he had spoken with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on several occasions. According to him, Putin offered help in the conflict between Iran and Israel, but the head of the White House asked him for “help with Russia.”<\/p>\n

“Okay, I said, do me a favor, help us with Russia, not with Iran, but he was very nice. We’ll talk (with Zelensky) about it, we’ll talk. I think progress is being made,” he added.<\/p>\n

As you know, a two-day NATO summit kicked off in The Hague on Tuesday, June 24. The main topics of this year’s meeting will be strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defense system, increasing defense investments, deepening cooperation with the European Union, and continued support for Ukraine in the war and reconstruction process.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that at the NATO summit, which is taking place on June 25, the topic of support for Ukraine will be one of the “big” topics.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in The Hague<\/a> to participate in the two-day NATO summit, which started on June 24.<\/p>\n
