On the night of Thursday, June 26, powerful explosions thundered in Moscow and the region amid a drone attack.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian media.<\/p>\n

It is noted that the drone attack affected several districts of the capital and the Moscow region at once.<\/p>\n

According to eyewitnesses, explosions were heard in Didovsk (Istrinsky district), Zelenograd, and the city of Moskovske, which is within the so-called “New Moscow.” At least five explosions were counted in the sky \u2014 all within a few minutes.<\/p>\n

The mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, quickly confirmed that Moscow had allegedly been attacked by drones, and added that the air defenses had “worked out.”<\/p>\n

In the wake of the incident, Vnukovo Airport was temporarily suspended. The “Carpet” aviation plan was introduced there, which is used in cases of air danger.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of Friday, June 20, drones attacked the Russian city of Voronezh. Locals complained about powerful explosions near an oil refinery.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, noted that Russia has begun transferring S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems and radar stations (RALS) from the Far East to the European part of the country. Such steps indicate serious losses in the air defense system in the west of the Russian Federation<\/a> , in particular after Ukrainian operations such as “Web”.<\/p>\n
