The decision was supported by 413 members of the Sejm, with 15 voting against and three abstaining.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmf24.pl\/fakty\/polska\/news-polska-wycofuje-sie-z-waznej-konwencji-sejm-zdecydowal,nId,7990581\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">is reported by<\/a> RMF24.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"273\">Before the vote, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense W\u0142adys\u0142aw Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that the move was a strategic decision aimed at strengthening Poland\u2019s defense capabilities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"275\" data-end=\"373\">\u201cWe cannot allow any restrictions that would interfere with the defense of our homeland,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"375\" data-end=\"562\">Kosiniak-Kamysz also noted that the decision was the result of a joint initiative by Poland, the Baltic states, and Finland, who are collectively assessing new risks to regional security.<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/finliandiia-proholosuvala-za-vykhid-iz-konventsii-pro-zaboronu-protypikhotnykh-min\/\">the Finnish parliament has approved the country&#8217;s withdrawal from the Ottawa Convention<\/a> , which bans landmines. In the future, the Defense Forces will be allowed to use such weapons.<\/p>\n<p>As reported, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/novyy-zaliznyy-zavis-yevropa-hotuietsia-zaminuvaty-kordon-z-rosiieiu\/\">Europe is preparing to create a new \u201cIron Curtain\u201d \u2014 this time not of concrete, but of millions of anti-personnel and anti-tank mines<\/a> .
