North Korea may send additional troops to Russia to participate in a new offensive in July or August.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by Reuters, citing South Korean intelligence.<\/p>\n

South Korean intelligence believes that Russia may be preparing for a large-scale offensive in Ukraine in July or August.<\/p>\n

This is indicated by the new training of troops by North Korea and the recent visit to Pyongyang by Sergei Shoigu, the head of the Russian Security Council.<\/p>\n

According to NIS, in exchange for North Korea supplying artillery ammunition and missiles to Russia, Pyongyang is likely receiving technical advice on satellite launches and missile guidance systems.<\/p>\n

Recall that in 2024, Russia received 9 million artillery shells and ammunition from North Korea, as well as 11,000 military personnel<\/a> to support the war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n

As reported, while the international community is tightening sanctions against Russia, the Kremlin is finding new ways to circumvent isolation – through an alliance with one of the most totalitarian regimes in the world. North Korea is not only supplying Russia with missiles and soldiers for the war against Ukraine, but also sending massive numbers of labor migrants to Russia<\/a> . This process is taking place despite UN sanctions and against the backdrop of a massive labor shortage in Russia.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that North Korea is actively profiting from Russia’s war against Ukraine. According to a recent report by the South Korean Institute for Defense Analysis (KIDA), North Korea’s participation in this aggression has already brought it over $20 billion in economic benefits.<\/a><\/p>\n
