Over the past three years, Moscow has imported parts for Boeing and Airbus aircraft worth a total of about a billion euros.

This information was revealed by the Finnish broadcaster Yle in its investigation, based on data from Russian customs obtained through private sources.

Over the past three years, Russia has received parts worth approximately 600 million euros for Airbus and another 400 million for Boeing. This list includes not only standard cabin elements, but also critical components: aircraft engines, radar systems, and on-board computing devices.

The main volumes of imports went through the United Arab Emirates, China, Turkey and Gabon. More than 360 companies from all over the world were involved in the supply process. Among the recipients of spare parts are dozens of Russian airlines, including S7 Engineering, Aeroflot, Utair and Ural Airlines. It is important to note that Utair, according to journalists, actively provided logistics for the Russian army and has already been subject to EU sanctions.

Manufacturers Boeing and Airbus, in response to inquiries, emphasized that they strictly adhere to current sanctions and do not have official channels for supplying parts to Russia. Separately, Investigate Europe found that a significant part of the parts entered the Russian Federation through India, with more than 200 of them potentially having military applications.

According to official data, Russian airlines operate 1,138 aircraft, of which about two-thirds are Western-made, accounting for 90% of all passenger traffic in the country.

Recall that the German technology company exported limited technologies to Russia even after the European Union imposed a new round of sanctions against Vladimir Putin’s regime over its invasion of Ukraine.

As reported, the US and the European Union have suspended cooperation in the joint fight against Russian sanctions evasion.

By the way, the European Union plans to impose sanctions against two Chinese banks that allegedly helped Russia circumvent trade restrictions.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , Twitter , Telegram , and Instagram.

Russia, despite tough EU and US sanctions, has found a way to establish a large volume of illegal imports of aircraft components.
