The war in Ukraine is unlikely to end in the next three years due to Russia’s lack of genuine will for peace.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by<\/a> Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda after arriving at the EU summit in Brussels, European Truth reports.<\/p>\n

The Lithuanian leader noted that any peace agreement requires a ceasefire, which currently does not exist. He expressed hope that the war could end before the start of the new EU multi-annual budget in 2028, but currently sees no signs of light at the end of the tunnel.<\/p>\n

Nauseda also stressed that the response to Russia’s actions must be clear and strong, and called for the introduction of the 18th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation without any exceptions or relaxations, which, he said, would make this package sufficient and effective.<\/p>\n

Recall that the International Monetary Fund bases its forecast for the Ukrainian economy on the fact that the war will end in 2025<\/a> .<\/p>\n

As reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia’s war against Ukraine could end with a decent peace this year.<\/a><\/p>\n
