The Kyiv Security Forum held a special event on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in The Hague, with the participation, in particular, of representatives of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Central Bank of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, emphasized: “I frankly stated to the members of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, foreign politicians, diplomats and experts: in addition to words, actions are needed.”<\/p>\n

“Action should be directed only at one thing: Ukraine must win this war, and victory in this war is when Ukraine is preserved. Victory in this war is when Ukraine receives security guarantees. When Putin is deprived of the opportunity to launch a new aggression. When the world will be safe, because Ukraine has won,” the head of the KBF emphasized. <\/p>\n

European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius, during a meeting with Arseniy Yatsenyuk, emphasized that Europe is looking for new opportunities to find additional funds and direct them to help Ukraine.<\/p>\n

“Our army today is a huge asset for the Euro-Atlantic community as a whole,” Arseniy Yatsenyuk wrote on Facebook<\/a> . <\/p>\n

“Europe must assume the authority to deter the enemy, to create a new security architecture. And therefore, the EU considers Ukraine in this context as a true partner and future member of the European Union,” the European Commissioner assured. He emphasized that the time has come to start discussions on institutional and political readiness for defense. And all this requires a vision of a concrete perspective on what this new security architecture should look like, what defense Europe should build together with Ukraine,” Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the results of the NATO summit, Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized in an interview with the BBC<\/a> : “To be honest, I had very low expectations. But today we can say for sure that we are satisfied with the final statements and the fact that Ukraine is still in the spotlight of NATO member states.” <\/p>\n

“All NATO member countries are clearly aware of the threat posed by Russia,” he said.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the head of the KBF emphasized that “NATO must do more.”<\/p>\n

“We expect greater results from NATO, because they invest in their own security. And it is absolutely clear that the more you invest in Ukraine, the more security you will receive,” Yatsenyuk concluded.<\/p>\n
