In Poland, the number of those who oppose Ukraine’s accession to the European Union and NATO has increased – there are now more of them than supporters.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> “European Pravda” with reference to the results of a survey conducted by the sociological company IBRiS at the request of the Defence24 portal and the Stand With Ukraine initiative.<\/p>\n

According to the survey, support for Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic course among Poles is no longer unquestionable. 35% of respondents approve of Ukraine’s membership in the EU, and 37% support joining NATO. At the same time, 42% of respondents opposed each of the issues.<\/p>\n

Among the main reasons for the negative attitude are concerns about potential economic competition from Ukraine, high levels of corruption, and fears that Ukraine’s accession to NATO could provoke further escalation of the war.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that all 32 participating countries confirmed that Ukraine’s accession to the Alliance is irreversible, although they did not determine the final timeframe for this process.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, Luxembourg Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel spoke out against Ukraine’s membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).<\/a><\/p>\n
