Back in March, a draft appeal from the Verkhovna Rada to the US Congress to restore bipartisan support for Ukraine was registered. Ukraine needs a delegation that will begin working with both US parties.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Petro Poroshenko said<\/a> this in an interview on Natalia Balyuk’s YouTube channel “Painful Topics”.<\/p>\n

“The catastrophe and tragedy that occurred on February 28 in Washington, in the Oval Office of the White House. Someone tried to remove the deadlock and thus try to mobilize the Ukrainian electorate. From this point of view, they won – they received 2.5% of the rating. But they radically destroyed even the sprouts of trust that could have been built,” Poroshenko emphasized.<\/p>\n

He added that Congress then refused to make a decision on additional arms supplies and funding to Ukraine. The result was a very tough position of the American leadership on Ukraine’s future membership in NATO.<\/p>\n

“What was the reaction of the Ukrainian authorities? Incredible, very harmful anti-American hysteria that rang out from every iron, claiming: “Trump sold out to Putin”, “Trump is pro-Russian”, “Trump betrayed Ukraine”, – the fifth President noted.<\/p>\n

Poroshenko noted that under Trump, Ukraine received its first lethal weapons and the signing of the Crimean Declaration.<\/p>\n

“Trump may not be pro-Ukrainian, but he is definitely not pro-Russian. He is pro-American in his understanding,” he noted.<\/p>\n

Poroshenko added that Trump dealt a powerful blow to Putin at the beginning of his second term.<\/p>\n

“When, like a pack of Russian advisors, he, together with Assad, threw out of Syria, where there was an outpost, the largest military presence of the Russian Federation. In Syria, Trump defeated Russia,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n

Poroshenko also drew attention to Iran, which is an ally of Russia. After all, the “Shaheeds” who are killing Ukrainians are Iranian.<\/p>\n

“Trump, and only then Benjamin Netanyahu, destroyed the Shahed production plants, destroyed the missile production plants. And they destroyed, I hope, as the Americans and Israelis say, the uranium enrichment facilities,” said the fifth President of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

He added that the war between Israel and Iran has become an American war. Trump defended American interests there. After the Hamas attack on Israel, more than half of the Knesset members left and for more than a month were present at negotiations with every member of Congress they knew. “This is the first step – fight for the American Congress,” Poroshenko noted.<\/p>\n

However, Ukraine does not follow Israel’s example. It sends there those with whom the Americans refuse to even shake hands. Because the fundamental communication problem of the group of 5-6 Zelenskyy managers, led by Yermak, is that all American doors are closed to them, and they pay a big price in Ukraine. We were supposed to work through parliamentary diplomacy. And it was destroyed.<\/p>\n

“The first thing Netanyahu did on the first day was say: I am creating a government of national unity. The entire Knesset has united to protect the state and ensure victory in the war. What is the Ukrainian side doing? Exactly the opposite. We need to look at Israel’s experience. It is not indisputable, but this is exactly what needs to be done, and it is definitely not what the Ukrainian authorities are doing now,” the leader of European Solidarity emphasized.<\/p>\n

Also, as Poroshenko noted, Trump has made powerful blows against Putin. And Ukraine’s task is to find Trump’s interest, that Ukraine’s victory in this war is precisely in the interest of the people and state of the United States.<\/p>\n

“Four months ago, I registered a draft appeal of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Congress of the United States of America to restore bipartisan support. Vote, give me the text of the Verkhovna Rada’s statement with the position that this parliamentary delegation represents the entire parliament, and we will begin work on preparing this resolution in the American Congress. I know with both Republicans and Democrats who and how to work. I’m not saying that victory is in my pocket. But, as in that joke, “at least buy a lottery ticket.” And you forbid Poroshenko from going to Washington, and you yourself demonstrate total incompetence,” Poroshenko said.<\/p>\n

He noted that the current government cannot achieve a decision by Congress on allocating funding to Ukraine.<\/p>\n

“Because it is a disaster for our American negotiating team led by Yermak that even when discussing the United States budget for the next fiscal year, even $300 million in aid to Ukraine was thrown out of the draft budget. What other litmus test do you need to show that you have huge problems?” he said.<\/p>\n

Poroshenko also noted that in Ukraine they believe they have the luxury of financing a single marathon or cashback. In addition, they finance corrupt deals at nuclear power plants, and Ukrainian soldiers pay for it with their lives.<\/p>\n

The day before, Petro Poroshenko stated that Ukraine must learn lessons from the situation in the Middle East<\/a> , because the Iranian model of behavior in negotiations was copied from Russia.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Petro Proshenko stated that the creation of a new government of national salvation and the transfer of the economy to military rails is what is now needed to overcome the situation threatening the country’s existence.<\/a><\/p>\n
