The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved for operation in the army a new heavy ground complex<\/strong> \u2014 the PROTECTOR unmanned vehicle<\/strong><\/span> .<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported by<\/span><\/a> the press service of the defense ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n

The complex was developed by a Ukrainian enterprise based on real combat experience. Its purpose is to ensure the safety of servicemen while performing logistical and combat missions in all seasons and terrains.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Ministry of Defense, PROTECTOR can perform various tasks. In particular, it is about transporting ammunition or equipment, evacuating the wounded, using it as a platform for a robotic combat module, mobile electronic warfare and electronic warfare systems, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

As explained by the department, the load capacity is up to 700 kilograms, and the range is 400 kilometers.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the car is equipped with a powerful internal combustion engine and has high cross-country ability. At the same time, it can overcome obstacles and fords, as it has all-wheel drive, and its wheels allow it to continue moving even if damaged.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn fact, this is a new branch of development of ground robotic complexes \u2013 a full-size unmanned vehicle. These are new opportunities for our soldiers, namely \u2013 performing dangerous tasks without risk to personnel. It is important that technologies come closer to the trenches, so that innovative tools of war work more for and for soldiers. The VOPs must be maximally strengthened with robotic systems,\u201d emphasized Deputy Minister of Defense Valery Churkin.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense codified and approved for operation in the Defense Forces the new tactical armored vehicle “Varta-2”.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, the Ministry of Defense has allowed the domestic bomber hexacopter “Volynyaka” to be used in the army.<\/a><\/p>\n

By the way, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has developed a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which provides for the procedure and amount of monetary rewards for military personnel for the implementation and use of their innovative developments.<\/a><\/p>\n
