He is the author, co-author, and editor of 15 books and over 100 scholarly articles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"295\" data-end=\"362\">In addition, he headed the expert group on derussification in Kyiv.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"364\" data-end=\"780\">Following the start of Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Alfiorov joined the Armed Forces. He initially served as an officer in the Azov-Kyiv Special Operations Command, and since September 2022, has been an officer in the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, where he leads the humanitarian training and information support group within the psychological support department.
