The Russians are spreading a fake about alleged preparations for the mandatory mobilization of women in Ukraine in order to sow panic and destabilize the situation in the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Center for Countering Disinformation.<\/p>\n

“Hostile propaganda resources, citing “anonymous sources,” claim that the Ukrainian authorities are supposedly “planning to mobilize up to a million women” from September 1, 2025. Separately, the alleged “lowering of the age threshold to 18 years” is emphasized,” the CPD said.<\/p>\n

There are no plans to mobilize women in Ukraine. The Verkhovna Rada has no draft laws under consideration that would provide for such changes. There are also no government decisions or statements by Ukrainian high-ranking officials about the mobilization of Ukrainian women.<\/p>\n

As part of the same information operation, Russian Telegram channels distributed a deepfake video featuring Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishyna, in which she proposed a legislative ban on women aged 18 to 27 traveling abroad, and the Verkhovna Rada supported this initiative.<\/p>\n

“The purpose of such fakes is to sow panic among Ukrainians and destabilize the situation in the rear,” the Central Military District noted.<\/p>\n

Earlier , Russian propagandists began spreading a fake about the detention and preparation of the execution of three Ukrainian spies in Iran<\/a> .<\/p>\n
