The Armed Forces of Ukraine are updating the format of basic general military training \u2014 its duration will be increased to 51 days. Two additional days will be devoted to practicing skills in countering enemy strike drones.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced by<\/a> the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrsky.<\/p>\n

As the commander-in-chief noted, it is the quality of the initial training of military personnel that directly affects the combat capability of units, the effectiveness of performing combat missions, and, most importantly, the preservation of the lives of the soldiers themselves.<\/p>\n

“This is one of the key changes in the sixth edition of the basic training program, which is currently being finalized. We continue to improve training in the rear areas of combat brigades. We take into account the psychological complexity of combat conditions and strengthen psychological training as an integral element of overall combat readiness,” said Syrsky.<\/p>\n

During a meeting with the leadership of the training centers, the Commander-in-Chief heard reports on security measures, in particular, on protecting training locations from possible air strikes. New shelters, dugouts, and other fortifications are currently being built in the training zones. Additional engineering solutions are also being implemented to protect personnel.<\/p>\n

“Increasing the level of security at training grounds and training centers is a priority task. It is strictly forbidden to place fighters in tents or to gather personnel and equipment in open areas,” the general emphasized.<\/p>\n

Among the priorities identified is strengthening the connection between army corps and training battalions of training centers. Coordination of this direction has been entrusted to the new Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Igor Skybyuk.<\/p>\n

Recall that all training centers that train mobilized personnel are implementing the fifth edition of the basic combined arms training program, which aims to improve the psychological resilience of military personnel<\/a> .<\/p>\n

As reported, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky announced changes in the work of territorial recruitment centers (TCK) and social support<\/a> . He noted that inspections are already being conducted there and commissions are working.<\/p>\n
