The authorities have once again blocked the international visits of the leader of European Solidarity \u2013 to Madrid for the congress of the most popular People’s Party in Spain and to Rome for the Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine. As is known, Petro Poroshenko received an invitation to Madrid from the Chairman of the People’s Party Alberto Nunez Feijoo,<\/a> who is one of the likely candidates for the post of Prime Minister of Spain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“In a week we will have a conference on the restoration of Ukraine in Rome. I have a personal invitation from the speaker of the Italian parliament,” Poroshenko said during a trip to Chernivtsi.<\/p>\n

Diplomacy is one of the most important components for strengthening support for Ukraine, and incompetent people cannot do it, Petro Poroshenko is convinced. \u201cOur relations with the US are in crisis after the collapse in the Oval Office. Why is this happening? Because, to put it mildly, the Ukrainian authorities are experiencing communication problems with the new American administration. How many more times must we step on the rake because of the incompetence and unprofessionalism of this team? Let the Ministry of Foreign Affairs do this, and not 5-6 managers,\u201d Poroshenko noted.<\/p>\n

He noted the deterioration of communication with both the EU countries and China. “We must be competent, professional and patriotic. And the negotiating group needs to be changed and the country needs to unite. Take Israel’s experience in creating a government of national unity. And finally go to the US Congress, conduct parliamentary diplomacy,” the party leader believes.<\/p>\n

“And then we will have a real opportunity to force Putin to stop the fire. And if the fire does not stop the paths, then the common voice of the world – Ukraine, Europe, the United States – everyone must declare that we are doing three things. We are opening the gates to the supply of modern weapons to Ukraine without restrictions. The second step is that new hellish sanctions will be introduced, as they will stop Putin’s ability to finance the war. And the third is that we are opening the doors of NATO and the EU for Ukraine,” Poroshenko notes.<\/p>\n

He once again appealed to the authorities: “Fight Putin. And stop the fight against journalists, public activists, the opposition and Poroshenko.”<\/p>\n

European partners have repeatedly publicly called on the Ukrainian authorities to ensure political pluralism and the rights of the parliamentary opposition, including the right to international inter-parliamentary activity. The EU calls for the abolition of restrictions on the opposition and the end of blocking foreign visits for MPs. Such practices have a negative impact on the assessment of Ukraine’s European integration aspirations and harm negotiations on EU accession.<\/p>\n

As is known, earlier the appellate court confirmed the decision of the Vinnytsia District Administrative Court<\/a> that the refusal to allow Petro Poroshenko to cross the border was unlawful.<\/p>\n

“On June 27, 2025, the Seventh Appellate Administrative Court left the appeal of the 6th border Volyn detachment of the State Border Service of Ukraine, military unit 9971, unsatisfied, and the decision of the Vinnytsia District Administrative Court of March 20, 2025, unchanged. Consequently, border service officials violated the law,” said lawyer Igor Golovan.<\/p>\n
