The US has decided to resume military assistance to Ukraine, in particular, to provide a new batch of defensive weapons.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This became<\/a> known from an official statement from the US Department of Defense.<\/p>\n

According to the US Department of Defense, the initiative comes directly from President Donald Trump. The Pentagon emphasized that supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a necessary step in the current conditions, when Ukrainians are forced to confront an external threat every day.<\/p>\n

“Following the President’s direction, we are providing Ukraine with additional defense resources. This will strengthen their defenses and contribute to efforts to achieve lasting peace and end the bloodshed,” the US Department of Defense said.<\/p>\n

In addition, the American side emphasized that the supply of weapons to foreign partners will take place within the framework of clearly defined national policy priorities, dominated by the “America First” principle, which is actively promoted by the current administration.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the United States of America temporarily suspended the supply of some anti-aircraft missiles and precision ammunition to Ukraine<\/a> due to concerns about the level of its own defense reserves.<\/p>\n

As reported, after reports of the suspension of the supply of part of military aid to Ukraine, the Pentagon assures that Washington continues to work on solutions.<\/a><\/p>\n

In addition, the US State Department assured that they did not stop all arms supplies to Ukraine, and the Pentagon’s decision made the day before was just one situation.<\/a><\/p>\n
