U.S. President Donald Trump has criticized Vladimir Putin, saying the Russian leader has been \u201ctalking a lot of nonsense\u201d \u2014 a rare sharp rebuke amid ongoing global tensions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said in a statement to reporters on Tuesday after a cabinet meeting at the White House.<\/p>\n

Trump said that the United States constantly receives “a lot of nonsense” from Putin.<\/p>\n

He added that Putin acts “very nice” all the time, but in the end, it all turns out to be nonsense.<\/p>\n

“I can tell you this now because he’s killing a lot of people, and a lot of them are his soldiers. It’s his soldiers and their soldiers, and now it’s up to 7,000 a week, and I’m unhappy with Putin,” the American president noted.<\/p>\n

In addition, he said he is “very seriously” considering imposing sanctions against Russia.<\/p>\n

Trump also confirmed his approval of the decision to send defensive weapons to Ukraine.<\/p>\n

He added that he is doing this, in particular, because Putin has the wrong attitude towards human lives \u2014 “he kills too many people.”<\/p>\n

When asked by a journalist who caused the pause in the supply of weapons to Ukraine, Trump replied, “I don’t know, you tell me.<\/p>\n
