On the morning of July 11, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with Shahed attack drones. The city center and residential buildings in the Saltivskyi district were targeted. At least nine people were injured in the attack.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced by<\/a> the Mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, and the Head of the Kharkiv OVA, Oleg Synegubov.<\/p>\n

“The occupiers are attacking with drones. An explosion was heard in the city. The danger of strikes remains,” Sinegubov wrote at night, urging residents to stay in shelters.<\/p>\n

The mayor of Kharkiv clarified that one of the drones hit the city center, in a residential area. It later turned out that the impact damaged an operating medical facility: windows were broken, and the building is being inspected for further damage.<\/p>\n

Another hit was recorded in the Saltivskyi district: a drone hit a three-story building and a courtyard. The fire engulfed about 20 square meters of structures.<\/p>\n

It later became known that the explosions also damaged the maternity hospital – fortunately, there were no injuries. The mother and newborns are planned to be transferred to another medical facility.<\/p>\n

According to the latest updates, the number of people injured in the attack has risen to nine. Among them is a 64-year-old man who was injured in the city center.<\/p>\n

Rescuers, medics, and utility services continue to work at the scene of the crash.<\/p>\n

Recall, on the night of Thursday, July 10, Russia launched a combined strike on Kyiv<\/a> . During the airstrike, the use of kamikaze drones and missiles of various types was recorded in the city. As a result of the enemy strikes, two people were killed and 14 others were injured.<\/p>\n

As reported, the UN monitoring mission in June recorded the highest number of civilian casualties in the past 3 years<\/a> . The Russians killed 232 people, another 1,343 were injured.<\/p>\n
