The current People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Yevheniy Shevchenko, has been suspected of fraud on a particularly large scale.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service of<\/span> the SBU<\/span><\/a> ,<\/span> the UCP<\/span><\/a> and<\/span> Ukrainska Pravda<\/span><\/a> .<\/span><\/p>\n

The Security Service, the State Bureau of Investigation, and the Prosecutor General’s Office have exposed the People’s Deputy, who has been in custody since November 2024 on suspicion of committing high treason, for new crimes.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the defendant, using personal connections with the political leadership of Belarus, organized the conclusion of a contract for the supply of mineral fertilizers.<\/span><\/p>\n

He subsequently provided false information to supplier companies that Belarusian Railways allegedly did not approve the transportation of the cargo due to the non-conformity of the tank cars.<\/span><\/p>\n

To resolve the problem, the MP demanded that a legal assistance agreement be concluded with a specific entrepreneur, who turned out to be his son. The companies were also required to transfer funds for services that were not provided.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, the suspect received 14.5 million hryvnias for the period from December 2021 to February 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the investigation is investigating the involvement of the former Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine in the crime.<\/span><\/p>\n
