The key signatories were Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba and EIB Vice President Tereza Chervinska.

The purpose of the funding is to repair and build critical transport infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and logistics hubs. The projects will be implemented in cooperation with the State Agency for Infrastructure Reconstruction and Development of Ukraine.

Special focus is placed on regions with increased humanitarian and logistical burden, as well as on transport routes that provide access to medical, administrative, and social services.

“€134 million is a contribution to real changes for people. Restoring infrastructure is not only roads, but also access to medicine, security, and a normal life. And this is the economic stability of the country,” emphasized Oleksiy Kuleba.

During the event, Kuleba also met with EIB President Nadia Calvino, during which the parties discussed expanding financial cooperation. The focus is on launching housing programs, developing border infrastructure, and creating a grant mechanism to support the most vulnerable communities.

Recall that New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Lacson and Foreign Minister Winston Peters announced a new support package for Ukraine in the amount of 16 million New Zealand dollars (over 9.4 million US dollars) on the eve of the NATO summit in The Hague.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , Twitter , Telegram , and Instagram .

Ukraine will receive 134 million euros from the European Investment Bank to restore roads, bridges and logistics hubs in regions that suffered the most during the war.
