According to the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Kremlin&#8217;s information expansion covers more than 40 countries, six languages, and includes both RT and TASS broadcasting, as well as the &#8220;re-education&#8221; of local journalists in the spirit of Kremlin rhetoric. According to GUR representative Andrey Yusov, Russian propaganda has become a global threat that works in favor of Moscow&#8217;s imperial ambitions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This was reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/DIUkraine\/6419\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">the press service<\/a> of the GUR.<\/p>\n<p> According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Russian Federation is actively strengthening its information positions in Africa. Through state media \u2014 primarily the TASS agency and the RT (Russia Today) television channel \u2014 the Kremlin is imposing its own narratives on the inhabitants of the continent.<\/p>\n<p> As of July 2025, Russian propaganda resources are broadcast in more than 40 African countries. RT and TASS content is translated into six languages, and since June, Portuguese has been added for Mozambique and Angola. An Amharic version is planned to be launched for an Ethiopian audience by the end of 2025.<\/p>\n<p> The number of RT&#8217;s African partner channels has grown from 30 to 60 in just two years. In addition to content, Moscow is investing in &#8220;educational&#8221; programs for local journalists:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> in 2024, more than a thousand journalists were trained according to Russian standards;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> in June 2025, full-time studies opened in Addis Ababa;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Similar educational centers are planned to be created in other countries.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> The state-owned TASS news agency is preparing to open correspondent bureaus in key African countries:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> Ethiopia;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Senegal;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Algeria;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Democratic Republic of Congo and others.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> The selection of personnel for these structures is controlled by the FSB, which emphasizes not only the informational but also the security dimension of this campaign.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;Russian propaganda is a global threat that works for one goal &#8211; the territorial, resource and cultural expansion of the aggressor,&#8221; said Andriy Yusov.<\/p>\n<p> Recall that the Main Intelligence Directorate has conducted operations in Africa several times to<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/hur-dekilka-raziv-pereshkodzhala-postachanniu-zbroi-z-afryky-v-rosiiu-zmi\/\">prevent the supply of weapons to Russia.<\/a><\/p>\n<p> Also follow \u201c <strong>Pryamym<\/strong> \u201d on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pryamiy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Facebook<\/a> , <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/prm_ua\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Twitter<\/a> , <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/+rtV4dxYu2_cyNjVi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Telegram<\/a> , and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pryamiy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Instagram<\/a> .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Russia is actively building a network of state propaganda on the African continent.
