The new Attorney General, Pam Bondi, has created a task force to review all high-profile investigations, including the events of January 6 and the cases in New York. In Washington, there is talk of an unprecedented dismantling of judicial independence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This is reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/justice-department-firings-include-trump-investigators-jan-6-prosecutors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">CBS News<\/a> ,<\/p>\n<p> The dismissals affect at least 35 employees who investigated cases against Donald Trump and his allies. At least 15 more people could be fired in the near future. Among them are prosecutors from North Carolina and Florida, as well as three from the team that led the case of the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021.<\/p>\n<p> The main blow fell on lawyers who worked with former special prosecutor Jack Smith. The two cases in question are:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> Trump&#8217;s illegal storage of classified documents,<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> Among those fired is Patty Hartman, a longtime FBI communications officer who issued press releases on 1,500+ cases related to the January 6 riots. She was warned: &#8220;this is just the beginning.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;There used to be a line between the White House and the Justice Department.
