Today, July 14, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the US President’s Special Representative for Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg, one-on-one and in an expanded format.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Presidential Office.<\/p>\n

It is noted that Zelensky thanked Kellogg for the visit, as well as for participating in the Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine and the meeting of the coalition of the willing in Rome together with Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal.<\/p>\n

“We are grateful to the US President for all his messages and really strong decisions to resume supplies to us. We are grateful for the bipartisan support. We had a very good conversation in The Hague with Mr. President and had a telephone conversation. We made certain decisions that are very positive for both countries,” Zelensky said.<\/p>\n

In particular, the interlocutors discussed Russia\u2019s massive attacks on civilian and critical infrastructure and the strengthening of Ukrainian air defenses\u2014in June alone, the Russians launched more than 330 missiles at Ukraine, including 80 ballistic missiles, more than 5,000 attack drones, and 5,000 aerial bombs.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the general situation at the front and the needs of Ukrainian soldiers were also discussed. General Kellogg expressed respect to the defenders of Ukraine for their courage.<\/p>\n

Zelensky confirmed Ukraine’s readiness to buy American weapons, primarily air defense systems. They also discussed joint production of drones, the possibility of direct purchases of Ukrainian UAVs by the United States, and potential purchases of weapons in cooperation with European partners. They also discussed a ceasefire, increasing pressure on Russia, and joint steps to achieve a dignified and lasting peace.<\/p>\n

“Special attention is given to sanctions, including the bipartisan bill by Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal, which has already been supported by more than 80 senators,” the President’s Office added.<\/p>\n

Let us recall that on August 14, the Special Representative of the US President Keith Kellogg arrived<\/a> in Ukraine on a visit.<\/p>\n
