Today, July 15, the Verkhovna Rada extended martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine. The decision will come into force on August 7 and will last for 90 days – until November 5.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the People’s Deputy from “Voice” Yaroslav Zheleznyak.<\/p>\n

320 parliamentarians voted for the corresponding decision, one deputy (Oleksiy Goncharenko) voted against.<\/p>\n

The parliament voted to extend martial law and general mobilization for the 16th time since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Note: Martial law<\/strong> was introduced in Ukraine due to Russia’s full-scale armed aggression.<\/p>\n

This is a special legal regime that provides for the granting of powers to state authorities, military command, military administrations and local government bodies necessary to prevent a threat.<\/p>\n

And mobilization<\/strong> assumes that men from 18 to 60 years old are considered liable for military service, which means they are subject to conscription into the army.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that Russian occupiers launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. On the same day, they introduced martial law and announced a general mobilization until March 26. <\/p>\n
